Occasionally, you may notice a small amount of olive oil around the cap or on the packaging. Olive oil naturally spreads more than water, and during shipping (when bottles sometimes must travel on their side and experience temperature changes), it can slowly work its way into tiny gaps in the cap. Even a very small amount of oil can look like a lot once it spreads, but it won’t affect the quality of the oil, and you shouldn’t notice any meaningful change in the bottle’s fill level.
