ShopPay is a virtual wallet created by Shopify (the company that hosts our website). It works like PayPal, but it can be confusing!
First, it's not clear when you've signed up for ShopPay, but it happens anytime you checkout on a Shopify website and check the box "Save my information for a faster checkout". Shopify is the most popular website platform in the world, so that happens a lot. When you do, ShopPay saves your address and payment information for fast checkout in the future. Please note, we are not storing any payment data, it's stored by ShopPay.
If you use ShopPay for a subscription, you need to visit the ShopPay website to update payment information, notour website.
Keep in mind, ShopPay keeps you logged into the virtual wallet. This makes checking out on new Shopify sites a breeze, but can be confusing if you don't realize you're using ShopPay.
